Milwaukee area October home sales continue strong upward trend

 

Metro Milwaukee home sales continue their rebound with October 2012 sales 35% higher than this time last year.  Year to date, 2012 Milwaukee area home sales are up 25% over last year.

 

The Metro MLS reports that listings are again down, putting the absorption rate of the time it would take all listings to sell down to 8.5 months, inching towards a more balanced market.

Milwaukee County real estate statistics:

2012 sales: 29.5% increase. 746 sold vs 576 in Oct. 2011

Waukesha County real estate statistics:

2012 sales: 30.6% increase. 397 sold vs 302 in Oct. 2011

Ozaukee County real estate statistics:

2012 sales: 35.8% increase. 91 sold vs 67 in Oct. 2011

Washington County real estate statistics:

2012 sales: 53.5% increase. 152 sold vs 99 in Oct. 2011

Racine County real estate statistics:

2012 sales: 18.9% increase. 189 sold vs 159 in Oct. 2011
