Housing sales and prices increase – again!

We continue to experience a recovery in Wisconsin real estate sales – going on the 20th month of double digit increases as a state overall.  Median home prices in the state of Wisconsin also grew 6% compared to February of last year.  Inventory is low and we need homes to sell. Homes that are in good condition and priced well may see multiple offers.  Buyers need to be sure they are preapproved so they can make strong offers and make their move when they see the house they have been looking for.

Five of the six regions in Wisconsin had a rise in home sales in February.  Northwoods is down, but just by 9 sales. It is important to note that Central and Northern Wisconsin have large second home markets and both are running well ahead of last year’s winter selling season.
