Age-in-place renovations may have wide appeal

September 8, 2014

Have you ever thought how long you’d stay in your current home? Could you “age-in-place” there?  If you have made renovations such as: walk-in showers, wider doors and levers instead of doorknobs your home may be more appealing to the baby boomer generation (77 million people) if you decide to sell – and easier for you to live in as you age if you are staying put.

There are not too many articles written on this subject.  Here is a good one from Realty Times. Hope you find it interesting as well.

We have agents who specialize in helping Senior Ciitizens with their real estate needs. You can search for a Senior Specialist at firstweber.com.  We also offer a Seniors First program through First Weber Relocation and another service we offer which may be very useful to seniors is our Concierge Service which helps to located home related vendors.  Give them a call if home maintenance or yard work is getting to be too much.  They can recommend someone who can help.

Thank you for reading the First Weber Wisconsin real estate & Wisconsin living blog for information on age-in-place renovations for the home and other senior services available with First Weber Group in Wisconsin.  Photo credit http://www.flickr.com/photos/melissambwilkins/4243714555/
