The first half of 2016 was the strongest period for Wisconsin real estate sale since before the recession. Home sales were up 5.5% over the first half of 2015 and median prices are up 4.5% in that same time frame. Comparing June 2016 to June 2015, home sales are up statewide by 3.4% with 9,778 properties sold. (source: WRA)
Median home prices are up 3.8 compared with last June. Median sale price for a home in Wisconsin is now $174,900. The last time we saw June median home sale prices at $170,000 was June of 2007 before the recession began.
June is always a very strong month for Wisconsin real estate sales,with more than 10% of the annual sales in the state closing in June.
