Wisconsin real estate market update: Sales and listings down, prices rise 6% over last year statewide. Some regions see double digit increases.

Another month of sales slipping due to lack of inventory to actually sell. Home prices rose 6% compared to last year at this time. Some regions saw double digit price growth compared to sale prices last year at this time. Southeast Wisconsin/Metro Milwaukee real estate statistics

1333 homes sold in Southeast Wisconsin in February 2017, a 2.9% decrease from last February.  Median sales price up 7.8% to $161,750.

(includes Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha Counties)

 

South Central/Southwestern Wisconsin area real estate statistics

711  homes sold in South Central Wisconsin in February 2017,  down 2.6% from last February. Median sales price up 14.5% to $98,000.

(includes Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Grant, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Richland, Rock and Sauk counties )

 

Western Wisconsin area real estate statistics

324 homes sold in Western Wisconsin in February 2017,  down 9.5% from last February. Median sales price up 6.4% to $157,000.

(includes Buffalo, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Pepin, Pierce, St. Croix. Trempealeau and Vernon counties )

 

Northeast Wisconsin area real estate statistics

666 homes sold in Northeast Wisconsin in February 2017,  up 6% over last February. Median sales price up 3.1% to $132,000

(includes Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca and Winnebago counties )

 

Central Wisconsin area real estate statistics

202 homes sold in Central Wisconsin in February 2017, down 11.4% from last February. Median sales price down 15% to $97,750.

Northwoods Wisconsin real estate statistics

325 homes sold in Northwoods Wisconsin in February 2017,  down 4% from last February. Median sales price up 11.5% to $130,500.

(includes Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Florence, Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, Vilas and Washburn counties )
