Wisconsin real estate posts record sales and First Weber has best year EVER with $3.5 billion in sales.

We ended 2017 on a strong note – busy all through fall with a continued shortage of inventory driving prices up.  This will be the third year in a row the WRA recorded sales to record levels.  AND, we are proud to announce that First Weber had our best year of sales EVER with nearly $3.5 BILLION in sales.

 

  • Statewide, Sales increased by 1.4% over a very strong 2016
  • Median prices rose 5.5% over last year – now at $174,000
  • A record 83,000 units were sold across Wisconsin

Southeast Wisconsin/Metro Milwaukee real estate statistics

29,681 homes sold in Southeast Wisconsin in 2017, a 1.3% increase over last year.  Median sales price up 5.5 to $185,000.

(includes Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha Counties)

 

South Central/Southwestern Wisconsin area real estate statistics

16,477  homes sold in South Central Wisconsin  in 2017,  down .4%  from last year. Median sales price up 8% to $210,000.

(includes Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Grant, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Richland, Rock and Sauk counties )

 

Western Wisconsin area real estate statistics

8,163  homes sold in Western Wisconsin  in 2017,  up 1.6% over last year. Median sales price up 6% to $177,500.

(includes Buffalo, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Pepin, Pierce, St. Croix. Trempealeau and Vernon counties )

 

Northeast Wisconsin area real estate statistics

15,173 homes sold in Northeast Wisconsin  in 2017, down .4% from last year. Median sales price up 6.4% to $149,000

(includes Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca and Winnebago counties )

 

Central Wisconsin area real estate statistics

5317 homes sold in Central Wisconsin  in 2017,  up 7.2% over last year. Median sales price up 3.5% to $130,000.

(includes Adams, Clark, Juneau, Marathon, Marquette, Portage, Waushara and Wood counties )

Northwoods Wisconsin real estate statistics

8043 homes sold in  Northwoods Wisconsin  in 2017,  up 5.8% over last year. Median sales price up 6% to $149,900.

(includes Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Florence, Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, Vilas and Washburn counties )
