Did you know that by February, 2011 all 1-2 family homes will be required to have a carbon monoxide detector on each level except attic/storage area?
This Wisconsin Real Estate Online article states there is no fine if you don’t comply just as with smoke detectors. However, we hope you do have these in your homes for safety. If you are buying or selling real estate, you should be aware that home inspectors will be required to check for the carbon monoxide alarms once it becomes law.
