“Paint up-Fix up” Rhinelander, WI homeowner program

June 4, 2010

The city of Rhinelander has applied for an additional $15,000 from WHEDA for their “Paint-Up-Fix-Up” program.  Homeowners in the city can be reimbursed up to $800 for exterior improvements to their home.   The city is focusing on main thoroughfares such as Kemp Street and Lincoln Street to improve the appearance of these neighborhoods.

There is no income limits to receive the grants.  The local committee from Northwoods Saves reviews applications to determine who will be approved.

Rhinelander also has $150,000 in block grant money available to home buyers or home owners.  The block grant is a 0% interest, no payment loan that is used to assist home buyers with a down payment and home owners with repairs.  There are income limits for this program.  The block grant program is administered by City Clerk Mary Richardson, 715-365-8600
