Milwaukee-area jobs outlook one of the best in the country

Milwaukee placed 6th in the country for projected job growth in the third quarter of 2010, The Journal Sentinel reports on a Manpower survey of employer’s upcoming hiring expectations.  This will undoubtedly be good news for the Milwaukee, Wisconsin real estate market since being employed and secure in your finances are the cornerstones of buying a home and obtaining a mortgage loan.

Employment is positive in 49 of 50 states. How fortunate we are as a Wisconsin real estate broker to have one of the best projected outlooks for the coming quarter of 2010.  Job losses have certainly had an effect in Wisconsin from an unfortunate amount of foreclosures to dwindling amount of real estate sales. An uptick in employment is some of the best news we could hear!

Jobs have been such a concern that First Weber Group has been offering a Job Loss Protection program which provides protection and counseling to homeowners for life’s unexpected events.  First Weber’s Job Loss Protection program  is an optional seller-funded mortgage protection program which offers up to 6 monthly mortgage payments during the first 24 months of the loan.  First Weber sellers may opt to offer this protection to buyers who purchase their home.  Buyers working with a First Weber agent may also request the Job Loss Protection be included as part of their offer to purchase of any property, regardless of it being listed with First Weber Group. Certain restrictions apply to this program offered through The Rainy Day Foundation.

If you or someone you know is looking for a job – and we probably all know someone affected by unempoyment – the Manpower report expects job gains in construction, manufacturing, transportation, hospitality, education and health services and many more.  Be sure to keep your eye out at some of the web based job sites like Milwaukeejobs.com for available positions.  First Weber Group is always hiring good people and real estate has become a second career for many people who have retired, or downsized. Here’s some information on a real estate career with First Weber Group, just in case there might be a fit.

Best of luck to all reading this with their employment and real estate future!
