Real estate sales across Metro Milwaukee remained strong with a 28% increase over last year at this time. Metro-wide, 1661 properties sold in May of 2010 versus just 1290 in May of 2009. By county, sales varied, but overall it was a very respectable month for real estate in Milwaukee.
County | Sold May 2009 | Sold May 2010 | % change |
Milwaukee | 802 | 920 | 14.7% |
Waukesha | 308 | 444 | 44.2% |
Ozaukee | 59 | 90 | 52.5% |

Racine was the only county with a decline and a small one at that. Linda Johnson and John Crimmings of First Weber Group discuss the Racine real estate market with the Racine Journal Times in this in-depth article.
