First Weber Foundation commits to build Habitat House in Milwaukee

First Weber Group will work with the Milwaukee area Habitat for Humanity to build a house on North 23rd Street in Milwaukee beginning the week of July 12.

Here’s the schedule from one of our program coordinators:

1st floor capped by the end of 1st day.

2nd floor capped by the end of the 2nd day.

Trusses up and sheeting on the 3rd day & 4th day

Siding, windows and doors on the 5th day

The house will be completely enclosed by the end of the build week.  After the initial build there will be a 3 or so week interim where Habitat brings in licensed plumbers, electricians, inspectors etc. The project will take 5 to 6 months to complete.

Thanks to the First Weber volunteers, our coordinators Laura McDonough, Abigail Busby and Jim Christenson, the First Weber Foundation and all the agents and First Weber employees who contribute into the foundation from salaries and commissions to make a difference in Wisconsin.

Can’t wait to see the progess and the happy homeowners!
