Home sales in Wisconsin were up 16% statewide in January 2011 and 25% in the Wausau metropolitan area. Low interest rates and an abundance of homes makes it an attractive time to buy. "There are people saying ‘We’re not going to get a better deal than this. We need to move,’ " said Ron Zahrt, President of First Weber in Wausau in a wausaudailyherald.com article.
A good month or two doesn’t mean the housing slump is over but it is certainly a step in the right direction and agents have been busy – saying many clients seem to be more confident which in turn has led people to look for new homes. "Move up buyers are getting amazing deals," Mike Zahrt says. Feel free to search for what’s available in the Wausau real estate market at firstweber.com.
