“September 19, 2011, was the 5^th flight for the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. 

88 WWII Veterans & their guardians traveled to Washington DC to see the memorials that stand in their honor.  The 1 day trip is at no cost to the veterans & is a small way to say thank you to them for their service.  Wally Radloff from Weston, Wisconsin was the vet I was honored to be guardian for. We left September 19 at 7:00 am and we received an overwhelming welcome home at the airport last night which topped off a perfect day of viewing the memorials of Washington DC.

This is a very special cause that Mike and Dawn Spranger and the First Weber Foundation have really gotten behind.  Recently a “Bike for Honor” fundraiser was held to raise money to send vets on this flight in their honor.  More than $25,000 was raised and presented to Never Forgotten Honor Flight by the Sprangers, First Weber Foundation and other sponsors.
