Metro Milwaukee real estate sales continue upward trend

Yet another month of year over year monthly increases in Milwaukee real estate sales is reducing the inventory of homes on the market.  Mike Ruzicka of the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors noted that there are still a lot of foreclosure properties for sale, but if you subtracted those from the overall inventory, the metro Milwaukee area would be approaching a balanced market – typically six months of inventory.  A Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article states that homes that are priced well and in move-in condition are selling quickly, close to asking price.
