South Central Wisconsin real estate sales up 23% in 2012

For the entire South Central region of Wisconsin, 2012 sales were 23% ahead of 2011. Dane County (up 27%), Columbia County (up 27.5%), Dodge County (up 22.5%) and Grant County (up 21.5) led the way with increased sales during 2012. Dane County residential home sales finished just under 6000, the highest since 2007. Source SCWMLS

 

The months supply of single family homes for sale in Dane County is down to 4.9 months; 6 months generally indicating a balanced market.

Columbia County real estate sales:

2012 sales: 652 vs 511 in 2011.  2012 median sales price: $126,250 vs $129,000 in 2011

Dane County/Greater Madison real estate sales:

2012 sales: 5916 vs 4670 in 2011.  2012 median sales price: $200,000 vs $206,350 in 2011

Dodge County real estate sales:

2012 sales: 533 vs 435 in 2011.  2012 median sales price: $100,000 vs $99,000 in 2011

Grant County real estate sales:

2012 sales: 333 vs 274 in 2011.  2012 median sales price: $119,185 vs $105,898 in 2011

Green County real estate sales:

2012 sales: 398 vs 357 in 2011.  2012 median sales price: $125,000 vs $123,000 in 2011

Iowa County real estate sales:

2012 sales: 214 vs 185 in 2011.  2012 median sales price: $125,000 vs $113,500 in 2011

Rock County real estate sales:

2012 sales: 1774 vs 1510 in 2011.  2012 median sales price: $97,000 vs $90,250 in 2011

Sauk County real estate sales:

2012 sales: 703 vs 605 in 2011.  2012 median sales price: $134,900 vs $130,000 in 2011
