The fall selling season in Wisconsin was very strong, thankfully. Home sales have risen for almost 2 years. However, that growth is unsustainable and things appear to be leveling off, not a bad thing. We don’t want another bubble situation. Real estate sales are also seasonal and usually trail off toward the end of the year.
Wisconsin real estate is still affordable, especially when you look at the national housing index.
Housing in Wisconsin remains affordable as measured by the Housing Affordablility index of 225, but it is quite a bit below last October’s affordability index of 257. The national housing affordability rate was at just 157.
