This was the 9th year of Project Gratitude, the West Bend office of First Weber’s project of providing: Full baskets of food for families of the Washington County Boys and Girls Club to prepare Thanksgiving meals at home on November 24th. In total they packed 75 baskets for the Jackson Boys and Girls Club, 50 for Kewaskum, 75 for Hartford and 100 for the West Bend area, according to First Weber West Bend manager Terri Fredrich.

AND THEN… They also cooked and served a hot meal to over 200 members and their families on November 25th. “For the dinner we cooked ten turkeys, 60 pounds of potatoes and 40 pounds of sweet potatoes,” First Weber agent Pam Erdman said in a news article in the West Bend paper.

In all, 300 hundred turkeys were purchased, not to mention the food for the side dishes.  All this was accomplished with much hard work, internal fundraising and grants from the First Weber Foundation and local Walmarts.

The West Bend office has made such a commitment to this project in their communities. They are an inspiration! First Weber is very proud of your efforts with Project Gratitude!
