Area home sales were down slightly in 2014 with prices up slightly. Distressed sales were also down and 2015 has gotten a busy start and looks to be a big bounce back year. In fact, ClearCapital.com Inc predicts that the metro Milwaukee area will lead the nation in price increases in 2015 according to this article in the BizTimes.
Whether that prediction turns out to be right or not, real estate has turned a corner in Wisconsin. “We are starting to see the gradual edging up of prices, said Kevin Donnell, president and chief operating officer of First Weber Group. In addition, activity has picked up dramatically. “Activity is very strong, in stark contrast to the beginning of the last year,” he said. “The feeling I am getting from people is they are really excited about how busy everyone is.”
