Following is a list of home improvements that are highly visible updates, yet come without the very high cost of a major remodel:

 

• Refinish hardwood floors

• Replace carpeting

• Interior painting

• Paint outside for wood siding or consider new siding

• New garage door

• New kitchen countertops & appliances

• Reface kitchen cabinets and/or add new hardware

• New front door
