March 10, 2016

Just a little extra space…

In many homes, a little extra space would be nice to have.  Here are some great ideas for making use of that empty space under your stairs. Anything from bookshelves, drawers, a tiny powder room or even a kid’s play nook/fort are pictured in this post from houzz. Great ideas.

Old things – New Look

Do you like to hit garage sales or flea markets? Here are some interesting ways to use old things such as doors and window frames in your home for a unique look.

Lower levels

Some homes are blessed with an exposed lower level and plenty of light.  Some aren’t.  Regardless of basement style, there are some “WOW”  pictures in this finished basement piece showing some wonderful designs to consider if you want to finish your basement or jazz things up.  Some of the examples are colorful for kids and others very sophisticated living spaces.  Finishing your lower level can really add a lot of livable space to your home without having to add on.  While you’re at it, considering adding a bath down there. Extra bathrooms are always a good thing when it come to a home’s value.
