Strongest May Sales for Wisconsin real estate since 2005.

Wisconsin’s strong real estate market continues into May with home sales up statewide by 2.9% over May 2015 with 8,044 properties sold. (source: WRA)

Median home prices are up 3.1% compared with last May. Median sale price for a home in Wisconsin is now $165,000. The last time we saw May median home sale prices at $165,000 was May of 2007.

“We’ve had a fabulous start to the year which was fueled by a strong overall economy and very good mortgage rates,” said K.C. Mauer, WRA board chairman.

“Even though our prices have been rising for more than 4 years, Wisconsin housing is still one of the best values when compared to other housing markets in the country,” said Michael Theo, WRA President and CEO.
