Wisconsin Real Estate Report – November 2021

December 20, 2021

November held strong in terms of home sales compared to last year! In November 2021 there were 7,714 homes sold, which was a slight decrease of 0.8% compared to November 2020. Statewide listings were down 7.0% to 20,036 while the median single-family home price rose 7.6% to $240,000. Homes continue to sell quicker including this last November. On average, homes are on the market for 71 days, which is 12.3% less time than November of 2020.

Despite low inventory levels, 2021 home sales were right on pace with last year! With strong home sales, we are also seeing strong demand. According to Mary Duff, 2021 Chair of the Board of Directors, Wisconsin REALTORS® Association, “the mismatch between weak supply and strong demand, especially among millennials, has kept the pressure on prices, with median prices up 9.5% year to date.”
