First Weber is thrilled to share some exciting news—our very own regional manager, Abby Hauke, will be installed as the Chairwoman of the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors (GMAR) for 2025! This prestigious role is a testament to Abby’s leadership, dedication, and passion for the real estate industry. GMAR oversees the work of 5,000 to 5,500 realtors in the greater Milwaukee area, focusing on the greater good of the industry and making the lives of real estate agents run smoother.
One of GMAR’s key initiatives is annual trips to Washington, D.C., where the board meets with local legislators to address pressing issues to protect the industry and clients. This past spring, their efforts led to a significant victory for veterans: changes to VA loan laws now allow veterans to use their loan benefits to cover buyer-broker fees. This change not only strengthens the industry but also helps expand homeownership opportunities for those who have served our country.
With 13 years of experience in real estate, Abby has built her career on fostering meaningful relationships and championing the industry. As Chairwoman, she is eager to be a trusted voice for realtors, clients, and the broader community. We couldn’t be prouder of Abby and are excited to see all she will accomplish in this new role!
