Thanks to all of our sponsors, participants, and organizers who helped to make our Second Annual "Take your dog to work day” a huge success, raising over $1,100 for the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County! The First Weber Foundation matched these funds, for a total donation to HAWS of over $2,200!
Participating in the check presentation were (pictured above, L-R): Lisa Neaman & Jennifer Smieja (of HAWS) and Linda Johnson, Suzi Wenzel, and Roxanne Platz (of First Weber Group). Also pictured is Fred, a super sweet adoptable dog who couldn’t resist hamming it up for the camera. Fred is looking for a forever home; if you are thinking about a dog, we hope you’ll consider Fred – here’s his story:
Hey, Fred the TV celebrity here! I’m a 5 year old Shepherd mix with the warmest brown eyes you’ll ever see, but I need someone to help me overcome my shyness. I’m good with kids and other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to your family. I’m an easy-going guy, I love attention and petting, and car rides are just the greatest! I take more interest in cats and rabbits then I should, so living with them is not the best option for me. I also have this quirky need to chew and eat things I shouldn’t, because I’m kind of nervous and need a stable home. So you’ll need to supervise me and gradually introduce me to things like toys, blankets and beds. If you are looking for a calm, sweet dog, I’m just the guy for you!
