Read an excellent article about buying a home in today’s real estate market here written by Dian Hymer for Inman News. My favorite line is "Profit potential shouldn’t be your only reason for buying a home." I wouldn’t imagine that is most people’s focus, but for years, huge profits when selling were so prevelant, it became an expectation. Also some very good comments on financing, home equity lonas and tax advantages.
