Housing has always led the way out of a recession

April 19, 2010

Ron Zahrt of First Weber Wausau is quoted saying "Housing has always led the way out of a recession. It sure looks like we are starting to climb."  A nice in-depth article from the wausaudailyherald is here, featuring quotes from Zahrt, First Weber agent Kathi Geiger and a pair of buyers and sellers all who share their thoughts on the Wausau, Wisconsin real estate market.  The buyers note that the tax credit (Accepted Offer needed by April 30, 2010 and other conditions apply.) gave them the push they needed to get active in the real estate market. They also say two houses they were going to make offers on were sold before they could.

111 homes were sold in March 2010 in Wausau, the most since 2007.  The entire state of Wisconsin is looking up, agents are getting busy. Metro Milwaukee home sales are up by double digits over last year. We’ve seen stacks of closing files come in and conference rooms busy.  That’s all good news for sales of Wisconsin real estate.

We hope it continues for EVERYONE! If First Weber can be of assistance with your Wisconsin real estate needs, please let us know.
