Do you know someone who owns a vacant home? You may want to pass along this tip… Vacant homes may not be covered by the Homeowner’s insurance policy, according to a USA Today article from August 9, 2010. It is important that sellers read their policy and check with their insurance agent to have their coverage altered if need be. Vacant homes are more likely to be vandalized so the cost of covering a vacant home is likely to go up in cost.
