30 homes sold in August 2010 versus 40 in August 2009. 118 new properties came on the market during the month. If inventory continues to rise and sales remain low, this may create downward pressure on home prices – ruled by the basic law of supply and demand. There are currently 858 properties for sale in Columbia County, the highest since 2007.
