Project Gratitude helps Boys and Girls Club members in Washington County

First Weber’s real estate office in West Bend is getting things in order to provide full Thanksgiving dinners to families of the Washington County Boys and Girls Club. This is First Weber’s 6th year for the program, having grown from feeding ten families in its first year to 150 families in 2010.

From ten food baskets to 150 food baskets and a meal for 350

At the beginning of “Project Gratitude”, First Weber agents provided meals for ten families.  Now, this project has grown to 150 families enjoying Thanksgiving dinner thanks to so many generous people who have participated. The cost to provide all of the food for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is $30.00 per family.  In addition to providing 150 full baskets of food to be taken home for preparation, the agents of the West Bend office cook at home and feed a hot meal to another 350 members and their families at the West Bend Boys and Girls Club location.  At the end of the project, First Weber agents, along with all of the people who so generously contribute, provide approximately 1500 Thanksgiving meals to members and families of the Boys and Girls Club.

First Weber Foundation will match donationed funds.

Anyone wishing to contribute to this event may do so by sending a check made out to First Weber  Foundation at 1720 Clarence Court, West Bend, WI 53095.  Donations will be matched by First Weber’s Foundation and need to be received by November 8th.  For further information, contact Terri Fredrich at 262-478-5610 or by e-mail at tfredrich@firstweber.com.

The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County was started in 1998 and has grown to over 2300 members in three locations:  West Bend, Jackson and Kewaskum.  As membership grows the need for assistance grows as well.
