Here’s a great article from a Washington Post Lifestyle author on her 3 days spent in Milwaukee. Milwaukee, a town built by Beer Barons, has a German heritage (among others), and is well known for its brewing industry and the German sausage, the bratwurst. If that is your image of Milwaukee and you’d prefer to go to Chicago, the article is a must read. The author had no brew and no brats – she saw a cosmopolitain city just a short drive north of Chicago, it’s numerous airports and its well-known panache. (Milwaukee has its own international airport, too…)
Here are the highlights of her trip that show a city that has grown to include world class eateries, a world famous art museum, a pristine lakefront and enough festivals to call itself “The City of Festivals.” We hope you’ll check these out when you come for a visit. If you are relocating to Milwaukee, one of First Weber’s Relocation specialists can give you a tour of Milwaukee which would include some of these highlights and a tour of Milwaukee’s many neighborhoods.
What’s great about Milwaukee and some of what the author was impressed with:
Milwaukee’s five mile long lakefront
That’s a short list. Come and visit and see the city that Milwaukee has become. You may choose Milwaukee over Chicago, as the Washington Post author ends her story.
