Wisconsin real estate sales in August continued to improve in all regions. Median sale prices also rose almost 3%, the sixth month of price increases statewide. An inventory of approximately 60,000 properties for sales across Wisconsin in August is historically still a little elevated, but a far cry from over 72,000 Wisconsin properties for sale in August of last year. This declining inventory of homes for sale should help home prices continue to improve.
Home affordability in Wisconsin continues to remain high, helped by the fact 30 year fixed mortgage interest rates have been under 4% all year.
