Real estate sales in all regions of Wisconsin were up in January – typically one of the slowest months of the year. How encouraging to see such strong activity as we begin the new year – it bodes well for 2013. Wisconsin-wide, home sales were up over 18% compared to last January. This is the 19th month of double digit sales growth in Wisconsin. And prices – they were mostly up too. Statewide showed a 3.4% increase in median sales price.

Southeast Wisconsin/Metro Milwaukee real estate statistics for January 2013:
Sales up 17.8%, Median sales price down 3.2%
South Central Wisconsin/Madison area real estate statistics for January 2013:
Sales up 17.7%, Median sales price up 13.5%
Northeast Wisconsin/Fond du Lac/Appleton area real estate statistics for January 2013:
Sales up 9.2%, Median sales price up 2.7%
Central Wisconsin/Wausau area real estate statistics for January 2013:
Sales up 28.2%, Median sales price up 6.9%
Northwoods Wisconsin real estate statistics for January 2013:
Sales up 31.6%, Median sales price up 5.6%
