Wisconsin real estate statistics for July: sales up 12.8%, prices up 7.8%

Both prices and sales grew again in July and outpaced a solid July of last year.

“It is clear that 2013 is shaping up to be a very strong year for Wisconsin housing and the indications are that these trends will continue,” said Renny Diedrich, WRA board chairman.

 

Regionally, here’s a look at July 2013 versus July 2012, a strong year as well.

Sales up 12.8%, Median sales price up 7.8%

Southeast Wisconsin/Metro Milwaukee real estate statistics

Sales up 21%, Median sales price up 7.1%

South Central Wisconsin/Madison area real estate statistics

Sales up 19.4%, Median sales price  up 9.1%

Northeast Wisconsin/Fond du Lac/Appleton area real estate statistics

Sales up 6.6%, Median sales price up 6%

Central Wisconsin/Wausau  area real estate statistics

Sales up 11.9%, Median sales price up 6.7%

Northwoods Wisconsin real estate statistics

Sales up  11.1%, Median sales price stable, 0% increase

 

Home affordability falls from 241 last July to 220. This is in part due to rising home prices and rising mortgage rates. Get with a local real estate agent soon to get in on buying a home before affordability falls more.
