We are expecting a record year for Wisconsin real estate sales. Across the state, home sales and median sale prices surged… home sales are the highest they have been in more than 10 years. As a whole, Wisconsin home sales matched last October’s very strong sales. Prices for the first 10 months of the year are 5.1% higher than the same time frame in 2015!
Demand exceeds supply of homes
As in months past, sales would have been even higher if there were more homes on the market. Interest rates are very low, buyers are out in force and competing for well-kept, well-priced homes. “Even though sales activity starts to wind down as we get closer to winter, it’s clear we are on pace for a very strong 2016,” said Erik Sjowall, WRA board chairman.
It is a great time to sell with this buyer demand. And buyers, even though prices are rising, the rates are still incredibly low.
