The First Weber West Bend office is celebrating the 5th year of "Project Gratitude". This annual project provides all of the food items necessary for families of the Washington County Boys and Girls Club members to prepare their Thanksgiving dinner. The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County was started in 1998 and has grown to over 2100 members in three locations; West Bend, Jackson and Kewaskum. As membership is growing the need for assistance grows as well. Additionally, a team of First Weber agents will be preparing and serving the annual Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday, November 23rd, at the Boys and Girls Club West Bend location, for approximately 300 individuals. The traditional meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy, vegetables and desserts will be served.
This year’s First Weber goal is to raise enough money to provide Thanksgiving meals to at least 125 families at a cost of approximately $30.00 per family. The combination of baskets sent home and meals served at the club is estimated to provide over 1000 meals.
"Project Gratitude 2010" is expected again to be a success thanks to the generosity of business leaders and individuals in the community.
If anyone would like to contribute to this cause, checks can be made out to First Weber-Project Gratitude and mailed to 1720 Clarence Court West Bend, WI 53095 and need to be received by November 8th.
