Wisconsin home sales continue to improve, with April home sales being up 19% over April 2011, according to the Wisconsin REALTORS Association. Home prices were also up slightly across the state as a while, with Northeast Wisconsin showing the highest price gains of 11.5%.
“After several years of a stagnate housing market, it is encouraging to see sustained growth in home sales, especially as we enter the summer, which is the prime season for home sales in the state,” said Rob Keefe, Chariman of the WRA board of directors. All areas of Wisconsin have seen great improvement. Realtors have reported multiple offer situations in some cases where buyers have begun competing for properties.

Sales up 16.8%, median price down .9%

Sales up 16.7%, median price up 5.3%
