Milwaukee, Wisconsin – one of the top places to live per AARP poll

July 25, 2007

Quite an honor for Milwaukee and the second top honor for a Wisconsin city as a top place to live in one month! (Middleton, Wisconsin being the #1 spot to live in a Money magazine poll in July 2007).  Now, AARP members have voted Milwaukee, Wisconsin as one of top five places to live if you are over 50 years of age.  (What do they say – 50 is the new 40?) These awards do a great job of improving Wisconsin’s image, drawing more business to Wisconsin and improving our economy and property values.

Much of the urban renewal that helped Milwaukee gain a top spot is due to the many beautiful new construction and "new" loft condos in historic buildings that have been popping up over the last several years downtown.  First Weber has many of those projects listed and highlighted in our Condo section here.  Search Milwaukee County to see some of the projects that may have helped Milwaukee earn this award, or search almost any county in the state for condos to fit your needs.

Congratulations Milwaukee and Middleton, by the way.
