First Weber Holiday Giving Exceeds $88,500

When the First Weber Foundation focused on Giving Tuesday in 2022, we were proud and happy to see approximately $40,000 be sent out at the wishes of our agents and staff for needy non-profits in Wisconsin and beyond.

The same drive was held in 2023, but with much different results! For the 6 weeks in November thru mid-December, the Foundation fulfilled matches to donations and other sponsorships totaling more than $88,500 in addition to countless hours of volunteer service. This feat was a collaboration of agents and staff utilizing our Matching Gifts Program, as well as Offices focusing on public or in-house fundraising for their passion projects via the Group Giving Program and sponsorships voted on and approved by the Foundation Board of Directors.

One such passion project was the West Madison Office’s months-long fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Dane County: Through Badger Game Day parking and a raffle, this office raised more than $24,000; the Foundation matched their donations at $2,500 from the Group Giving Program and at more than $2,200 from the Matching Gifts Program. As a result, the West Madison Office and First Weber Foundation gifted almost $30,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Dane County. Their hours of volunteering and fundraising resulted in an unprecedented one-time donation for a non-profit from the Foundation.

Several other offices participated in “passion project” fundraisers that culminated during the holiday season, many of which are annual traditions within their offices, such as West Bend Office “Project Gratitude” to provide Thanksgiving meals to families from the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County; the Portage Office “Trivia Nite” fundraiser for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, providing beds and bedding to children who have none, and the Fitchburg Office’s bowling fundraiser, “Strike Out Hunger,” to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank, serving food pantries across southern Wisconsin.

The First Weber Foundation is proud to collaborate with First Weber agents and staff in committing to our neighboring 501(c)3 non-profit organizations: Together we make stronger communities. We are “The Human Side of Real Estate!”

Members of the Madison West Office partnered with the First Weber Foundation to donate almost $30,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Dane County.

The Foundation is fully funded by generous pledges from First Weber agents and staff members: We are partners in serving our communities through charitable contributions and volunteer leadership. The Foundation was created in 2006 as a way for agents, staff and offices to serve the communities in which they live and work. Since that time, the Foundation has awarded more than $4 Million in sponsorships and support for 501(c)3 non-profit agents, both in Wisconsin and across the world.
